About Semper Fi Counseling
More Than Counseling. A Path Back to Community.
Semper Fi Counseling, Inc. is a Wyoming 501(c)(3) nonprofit behavioral-health organization based in Torrington, Wyoming.
We were created around a simple belief:
People struggling with serious mental illness deserve an opportunity to recover, rebuild, and become part of their communities, not simply be moved from one system to another.
Our work focuses on individuals who are often underserved or caught between systems, including people living with serious mental health conditions and individuals whose mental health challenges have contributed to involvement with the criminal justice system.
We recognize that treatment doesn’t end when a crisis ends.
Recovery requires stability, relationships, purpose, skills, healthcare, accountability, and a community willing to help someone succeed.
What We Believe

- Mental illness should not automatically lead to incarceration.
- Accountability and compassion can exist together.
- Families deserve support too.
- Rural communities deserve access to quality behavioral healthcare.
- Successful reentry requires more than releasing someone from a correctional facility.
It requires giving them a realistic opportunity to succeed.
